Mattuck, Israel Isidor
(1883-1954)
   British liberal rabbi, of Lithuanian origin. He went to the US as a child and served as a rabbi in Far Rockaway, New York and Lincoln, Nebraska. In 1911 he became the leader of the Liberal Jewish Synagogue in London. He served as chairman of the World Union of Progressive Judaism. His writings include What Are the Jews?, Essentials of Liberal Judiasm, Jewish Ethics and Thoughts of the Prophets.
